W.H. Mims collection of Central of Georgia technical drawings, 1889-1955.

This collection consists of drawings for Central of Georgia railroad cars, engines, equipment, and shops. Drawings found in this collection include car and engine elevations and sections, as well as details of miscellaneous equipment. There are also a few railroad shop plans. The index to the drawings has been arranged into three groups: category; date; and location. The category index lists the drawings sorted by subject, such as cars or equipment or engines. Within each type, the drawings are then arranged by date. The date index lists the drawings arranged by the original date of the drawing. The location index lists the drawings grouped by the location of the drawing. Although the location for the majority of the drawings is Savannah, there are also drawings that reference other locations, such as Columbus or Macon. With the exception of the one New York drawing, all locations are in Georgia.
